1. Computer didn't have partition setting. (One C drive)
Data Whitehole does not recommend saving on the same drive where the search has been done. If you save a file or a folder on the same drive where the search has been done, the newly restored files may be written on top of the files to be restored and it could damage them.
If you only have C: drive and don't have a drive to save the restored data:
- It could be saved to a removable Floppy Disk if the size of file is small, or in a flash memory stick.
- Add a hard drive and restore the data on it. It is also possible to store onto an external hard drive.
- Through a network it can be stored on a different computer's shared drive.
- Attach the hard disk with the problem into another computer, and then restore the data.
